I've raved about these boys for ages and I continue to rave. This is hopefully going to be the Chinese Year of The Struts and fingers (plus every other body part) crossed it'll work out in their favour. As Luke pointed out in an interview with the Derby Telegraph READ if they'd have released an album last year they would've been caught up in the One Direction hype. Frustrating as the wait has been for them and their fans, I think it's worked out for the best timewise. The 1D hype is still strong but it's getting pretty samey: Harry Styles linked with old chick, Harry Styles hit in groin with shoe (it was actually his stomach - I played that footage repeatedly - nowhere near his willy), Harry Styles with model, Harry Styles with birthday stripogram etc.
People need something fresh, something exciting and I think the Struts are going to give that to them. I mean, I've been to how many Struts gigs and I've know Luke and Adam two years now (Geth and Jed, year and a bit) and I NEVER even saw this Stooshe cover coming. So if the band can surprise fans, they'll certainly surprise the media and the public. I'm looking forward to Simon Cowell's trousers dropping from his neckline to his waistline in shock.
