Today I visited Time For You Beauty Spa in Huddersfield because it had such amazing reviews. I don't think I've seen a bad review across all the websites I've seen them listed on.
When you arrive it's a very unassuming building. If you accidentally drove past it by mistake a few times, you could be forgiven. But there are a number of bus stops right by the spa so if you're relying on public transport, you are completely covered in that aspect.
Treatments are strictly by appointment, no walk-ins, so you get the full thing uninterrupted. Laura introduces you to what you'll be having during the treatment, how to get ready and then leaves you for a short while to get ready in the room where it's taking place. It's nice and cosy and smells lovely, without it ever making you feel sick or headachey as perfumed rooms can sometimes.
I chose the Purifying Palmarosa facial at £38 for 60 minutes and let me tell you, it was bliss. You're lying on a heated bed being slathered with natural oils and having hot towels on your face. And it never feels rushed. It doesn't feel like you're laid there for an hour because there's something new happening every five minutes. I almost fell asleep at one point because it was so relaxing and when I got home that evening, I had the best nights rest.
The facial itself also included a head, neck and shoulder massage, which was really beneficial to myself because I suffer from stiffness in those areas. My shoulders are definitely less tense.
Laura will also give you good aftercare advice. She explains everything thoroughly and is so welcoming and professional.
I am going to make this a monthly treat to myself and maybe try working my way through the different treatments to see which ones I like the best.
