Kel McGowan is Kelligrafie
That's *Film You Have To See. Which is *drumroll* The Boat that Rocked. This originally came out in 2009 and I'm rueing the fact I didn't go see this in the cinema. Without a doubt this is already one of my favourite films. It captures everything that I love about music and rebellion. It's witty, has a great cast, lovable characters and features one of the best film soundtracks e-v-e-r.
It's about a pirate radio station operating from the north sea and how the British government tries to shut them down. It's not based on a true story although it's certainly inspired by the pirate radio stations that used to operate during the 60's.
The only problem I have with it is that one of the deleted scenes (bless you DVD extras) happens to be the best scene in the film. If you have the DVD and haven't yet checked it out, look up Radio Sunshine.
