Kel McGowan is Kelligrafie
Day 30: Write a poem employing extended metaphor to illustrate the experience of the last 30 days as you were participating in the challenge.
I don't know if this poem is even right. I can struggle with metaphors sometimes but I gave it my best shot. I've enjoyed the challenge and I found it beneficial. I'd recommend it to anyone who has writer's block or hasn't written for a while. Glad it's over though - phew!
This poem is the passage from the start to the end
As I slithered through every poetic bend
I wrestled with haikus as they snapped at my brain
Metaphorically speaking, man that was a pain
Hellos were romantic and teased all my fans
The goodbyes were sudden, against all my plans
And now the journey is over
I've parted from Calais and landed in Dover
