Kel McGowan is Kelligrafie
Ok this is the first part of my new project. I've taken a section from episode 1 of the 1987 series and put the 2012 turtles and Kraang droids in their place. Hence why the script might not be an exact replica - the new turtles do speak differently, they tend to use nicknames instead of full names. And also, there is a big thing about robots in this sketch. So I've had to replace the foot soldiers from 1987 (who were robots) with the Kraang droids from 2012 as the 2012 foot soldiers are all (currently) humans. That may change as the Kraang and Shredder are now in 'cahoots' but we'll see.
I drew the sections seperately and then brought them all together through the power of photoplus to add colour, shading etc. I'll do the other storyboards as and when I can.
Something worth pointing out is that the speech bubbles are unique to each turtle. The outline is in their individual colours plus they have little adjustments. Raph has a lightning bolt that is the 'reflection' of the crack in his shell. Likewise Donnie has a chip in his that mimicks his tooth gap. I'm not quite sure how I'll adjust Mikey's yet but we'll see.
It is for practical as well as athestic reasons. There will be some sections where someone is speaking 'off camera' so the colours and speech bubble shapes will help distinguish who's talking.
